DLT ENTERTAINMENT APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF INTERNATIONAL SALES

London, UK, 20 January 2006: Award-winning producer and distributor DLT Entertainment is attending NATPE with a new Head of International Sales, Elfyn Morris, announced DLT’s Vice President Don Taffner Jr today.

Morris joins DLT’s UK office with a brief to expand on their already successful sales division, and drive expansion of DLT’s hit programming and formats into new territories worldwide.

Elfyn’s responsibilities include sales of DLT’s catalogue of programmes to the UK as well as the rest of the world (excluding the US). The catalogue has recently expanded though the inclusion of DLT’s latest productions including the award wining series My Family now completing is sixth production series.

With a career in sales spanning three decades, Morris joins from Digital Classics Distribution, the UK’s leading arts and performance distribution specialists. Morris began his career in programme sales at Granada International and then moving to Granada LWT International when the two companies merged. After eight years he joined Chrysalis Distribution selling programming of all genres and working closely with programme makers, including assessing the international potential of their programmes. DLT is planning to capitalise on these attributes alongside his expertise in sales.

Commenting on the appointment, Taffner Jr said: “DLT is determined to carry on the success of our recent expansion in both our UK and US offices with this new appointment. Elfyn has a proven track record in all areas of sales and across many genres. With the possibilities offered by the new terms of trades, it is crucial that we have a strong international presence in distribution and we believe Elfyn is just the man to lead us forward in 2006.”

Morris added: “I’m very excited to be associated with a prestigious company like DLT Entertainment. I’m looking forward to getting straight back in the saddle at NATPE and consolidating DLT’s programming sales successes of recent years, while also ensuring that we reach the heart of many new territories in 2006.”
