DLT JOINS THE PAGEANT LINE-UP WITH MISS ABILITY
London 31 May 07: Award-winning production and distribution company DLT Entertainment has acquired the UK format rights to Miss Ability.
A television competition with a difference, the original Dutch version of Miss Ability is specifically for women with a visible physical disability. The contestants compete for the Miss Ability title to become ambassador of disabled rights in Holland. A competition of, personality, intelligence, charisma, and beauty Miss Ability empowers the contestants to focus on their strengths and present a positive representation of physical disability.
A panel of diverse judges help the viewers at home determine the winning contestant who will also receive a modelling or acting contract.
Miss Ability was originally broadcast in the Netherlands on NL 2 last year where it won an impressive 25% of the market share, winning its timeslot. The second competition airs in early June.

DLT Entertainment is currently in talks with a number of broadcasters in the UK and is exploring the possibility of obtaining the US rights for the show.
