DLT Entertainment and Raydar Media Lauch Joint Distribution Venture

MIPCOM October 07 2012. DLT Entertainment (DLT), the award winning producer and distributor, has launched a new distribution company with Raydar Media, the new content management and creation company set up by leading international TV exec Alison Rayson.

The new joint venture, called DLT/Raydar Rights LLP, will handle international distribution of finished programmes and formats across all genres.

DLT/Raydar Rights will be the exclusive worldwide distributor of finished programmes and formats for Raydar Media and third party producers and suppliers as well as being DLT's exclusive distributor for the world excluding the US and UK . As part of the deal DLT will distribute in the US, all finished programs flowing through DLT/Raydar Rights, in addition to its own product. US format exploitation of DLT/Raydar properties will be jointly handled by DLT and Raydar.

Don Taffner Jr said: “I am delighted to announce our new joint venture with Raydar Media. DLT/Raydar Rights will be able to tap into Alison’s extensive expertise in the production, distribution and international financing sectors and will allow us to increase our distribution activity across all genres and increasingly on new and emerging digital platforms.”

Alison Rayson said: “My passion has and always will be working collaboratively with content creators and Independent Producers to create global television shows and more recently transmedia brands. Partnering with Don through Raydar Media in a new Distribution venture unites our strengths and offers International Producers a home that will focus on achieving the best sales results and service".

Raydar Media is a new media company founded by Alison Rayson. The company will collaborate with independent producers on creating and financing new content and IP which will then be distributed by DLT/Raydar Rights.

Both DLT and Alison Rayson have a history of nurturing talent and developing productions across all genres, including comedy, children’s, drama and reality.

The board of directors of DLT/Raydar Media will seat Don Taffner Jr, President DLT Entertainment, as Chairman, Alison Rayson, CEO of DLT/Raydar Rights and Raydar Media, and Jeff Cotugno, Chief Operating Officer DLT Entertainment.

DLT Entertainment works across every aspect of television distribution and production around the world with offices in London, Manchester and New York. Broadcast Magazine have recently announced DLT as 22nd largest distributor in the UK having scored success with shows such as Miranda, My Family, and As Time Goes By.
